Perhaps you’ve walked past the Pratt Institute a thousand times, but you are not really sure what it is?

The Pratt Institute, located at 200 Willoughby Avenue in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn, is a private arts college with studies in Architecture, Graphic Design, Art History, Fashion, Jewelry, Interior Design and much, much more. Students can also study Creative Writing and Digital Arts here.

The stated mission of Pratt Institute is to educate their students to become creative artists and professionals who will take responsibility for the betterment and development of their society. It is the goal of the college to inspire the students to have a sophisticated aesthetic judgment, knowledge on a professional level, technical expertise and the ability to collaborate and cooperate on projects of communal, artistic and professional interest.

The college is home to over 4,700 students in graduate and undergraduate degree programs. Pratt was founded over 100 years ago, in 1887, and has always been celebrated as an excellent institution, consistently ranked among the nation’s best art and design schools. The school’s halls abound with world-famous artists, designers and scholars, making their mark and bringing honor to Pratt as a center for innovation, creativity, and iconic trend setting.
