Fresh Fanatic Brings Great Food to Clinton Hill and Brooklyn

Three years after the Body by Brooklyn spa and lounge opened (also called B3) Mira Goldin’s two sons, Andrew and David Goldin, opened the Fresh Fanatic Market and Café. This market filled a growing need in the neighborhood for fresh, quality produce and food. In recent days Fresh Fanatic announced it was partnering with the Pastry Chef Michael Allen to offer great pastries in the same facility.

Andrew Goldin said about the Market, which opened its doors in August, 2009, that, “Fresh Fanatic comes from what we expect for ourselves.” He opened the shop because he was not able to find any fresh meat, fish, cheeses or prepared food in the area whenever he came to visit his brother, David, who had lived in Clinton Hill and has been a resident there for 12 years.

“Everything is done fresh in-house so that we can control the quality,” Andrew said. There are two on-site chefs who prepare fresh food daily. “You will always find fresh, quality and locally-grown food at a good price.”

Just minutes from central Clinton Hill one block south of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the B3 and Fresh Fanatic are convenient to get to for people from outside the neighborhood, too. Stop in for a soak and a meal or pick-up a custom baked cake or pastries for the exclusive Michael Allen Bakery.

“We are here to serve the community in its evolving need, and to contribute and be a part of the process as much as we can,” Marina the marketing representative mentioned. “It’s worth the five-minute walk!”
