Soul of Brooklyn

June 16, 2010

While prominent Brooklyn blogs put their skirt on, with pom-poms in the air for every prospective business coming to the area, certain events like the longstanding DanceAfrica at BAM never get mentioned. On that note I would to put my readers on to Soul of Brooklyn:

Experience the CULTURE, HISTORY, EVENTS, FESTIVALS and AMENITIES of the African Diaspora in Brooklyn, New York! Whether you are a tourist or a native, the Soul of Brooklyn is your guide to the borough’s best African, African American, Caribbean and Latino owned businesses.

Check the website for info about kick-off party and week long events June 18, 2010-June 26, 2010.

“It’s elementary, they want us all gone eventually…”

That last quote says all you need to know about why wonderful events like this go unmentioned. 😐
